Wireless Coverage

As of September 2011, all student rooms in the residence halls, as well as lobbies, lounges, and common areas have coverage for wireless Internet access. Additionally, all of the campus academic buildings have wireless internet coverage. The wireless network can also be accessed outdoors from most places on campus. Certain areas of Carson Park also have wireless coverage.

Getting Connected

To access UWEC wireless, network authentication is required. To authenticate, you must have a valid UWEC username and password to register your computer on the wireless network. Use the SSID “UWECreshall” in the residence halls. In the academic buildings, use the SSID “UWECwireless”. There are several pages you can read for help getting connected to the wireless network.
